The history as to how Thanksgiving came about dates back to the 1620s when the Pilgrims came to Plymouth. They were taught by the Native Americans on how to plant, hunt, and fish to ensure survival during the coming winter months. As a token of appreciation, the Pilgrims invited the Native Americans for a harvest feast which has since known as Thanksgiving.
